Learn about the economic impacts on the family and state-wide level of menstrual health. Engage in efforts to tackle this pressing issue, from eradicting the tampon tax, to creating menstrual friendly-workplaces.

Join PERIOD @ Temple University at the Temple University Bell Tower from 1-3pm to advocate in support of the passing of HB-850 and HB-851. If passed, these bills will amend the Human Services Code and allow recipients of SNAP and WIC to purchase menstrual products. This will help 2 million Pennsylvania residents! Our keynote speaker will be Lynette Medley, the CEO of No More Secrets. We are also expecting to be joined by local legislators and other local youth organizations. There will be refreshments, merch, and fun activities open to all who attend.

We will be meeting with organizations, legislators, and the community about the stigmatism associated with menstrual health and the effects of period poverty.

This will be a day of action that everyone can participate in along with a product drive -bring what you can, take what you need-. Please bring your receipts!

The Take Care Project invites you to participate in Period Action Day by bringing new and unopened boxes of tampons, pads, or liners to Harvest Fest in downtown Bennington, VT on Saturday, October 14th.

A donation bin will be at Planned Parenthood of Northern New England’s booth!
