The Period Education Project is hosting a menstrual health workshop, called a "PEP Rally", hosted by our amazing medical students at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine. PEP Rallies are physician-created, medically-accurate workshops for young people in middle/high school that cover all the basics of menstrual health, from anatomy to phases of the menstrual cycle to period product options and safe way to use them to abnormal vs. normal menstrual patterns and more. PEP Rallies are led by trained medical students from schools all across the country.
The mission is two-fold, close knowledge gaps and de-stigmatize the topics of periods with trusted menstrual health education while giving medical students the opportunity to navigate these important conversations, serve their communities and become better future doctors.
