Laila Abed, a member of the PERIOD Inc. Youth Advisory Council, is collaborating with Malikah, a renowned anti-violence organization in honor of International Day of the Girl Child & PERIOD Action Day. Together, they are planning to distribute 200 period packs containing menstrual pads to the Arab and Muslim community members in Queens, NY.

This event aims to foster a sense of sisterhood and encourage community involvement, welcoming not only menstruators but also non-menstruators to engage in meaningful conversations about menstrual health and equity. Participants are invited to learn more about Period Action Day and Malikah's initiatives, get involved through donations, or simply pick up a period pack and other informational materials. Additional goodies may be available!
